The Zonta Club of
Greater Queens is
an organization of executives and professionals working together
to advance the status of women worldwide through service and
advocacy. Our members are among Zonta International's
33,000 members in 1200 clubs worldwide located in 69 countries. To accomplish
our mission we engage in service, fellowship and fundraising.

|
The Zonta Club of
Greater Queens is a part of District 3. District 3 includes
Clubs from the states of Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland,
Southeastern New York, Eastern Pennsylvania, and the District of
Columbia. |
| |
|
The Zonta Clubs in
District 3 support a large variety of projects. Most clubs offer
local college scholarships for women. The District is heavily
involved in local projects to end domestic violence, raise funds
for cancer research, and participate in literacy programs.
Because the United Nations is headquartered in District 3, our
clubs are closely aligned with United Nations programs.
